South Countryside Tour with Lunch

Tour Description:

Drive through the scenic coastline down South of Cebu and sample its rich culture reminiscent of the Spanish influence through the centuries-old churches, heritage, homes and museums with Spanish architecture.

A must stop is one of the villages in Carcar named Tuyom. Visitors will be exposed to community interaction with emphasis on cultural exchange and culture ecology like tuba making, an alcoholic drink taken from sap of a coconut tree, rides around the village through the Carabao, the country’s national animal where visitors can directly ride on a Carabao’s back or on the carriage, and on a tricycle, a three-wheeled push pedaled ride. Visitors can also participate in shoe making, basket weaving and delicacy cooking, the town’s famous arts and crafts. You can take home the experience as you go shopping for souvenir items like the factory priced leather goods such as bags, shoes, wallets among others while enjoying the snacks like the ampao (sugar coated crispy rice), chicharon (crispy pork skin) and boucarillo (sweetened coconut candies) to be served on board on the way back to the hotel.
