7 Beautiful Places on Instagram
written on October 20th, 2017 by Monica Villarica
Since becoming the curator of Destination Specialists’ Instagram feed , I’ve come to realize how little I’ve seen of the world. Daily exposure to beautiful landscapes and exciting adventures have really amped my curiosity and has infected me with major #travelust.
I want to share with you seven beautiful places I’ve seen on Instagram (one of which I’ve actually visited and can attest to it’s breathtaking beauty!)
Banff National Park
Canada’s oldest national park seems full of picturesque landscapes. With just about the right lighting, this is definitely a #nofilter area.
Kuang Si Falls
This three tier waterfall found in Laos is humongous! Water around it looks so clear and fresh, too.
Faroe Islands
This archipelago is a self-governing nation under the Kingdom of Denmark. It has 18 volcanic islands which makes it an attraction for bird watchers and hikers. Just look at how beautiful these photos are!
One of my last nights in Greece, I was invited by the village I was staying in to celebrate the main restaurant's seasonal closing. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ It was like something out of a movie: 20+ Greeks set up tables in the middle of the plaza for the feast, and within a couple hours, everyone was drunk and dancing to live folk music 💃🏻. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Before I knew it, I was getting pulled into the crowd, dancing like a maniac to steps I didn't even know. The joy was infectious. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ In that moment, I stopped thinking. I just felt it: the sounds of music weaving with the clash of glasses being thrown against cobblestone, the synchronicity of sweaty, euphoric people in movement, the flow of a universe suspended in time. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ After I left the dance circle, out of breath from both movement and laughter, one of the locals came to sit next to me. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ "How did that feel?" He asked playfully. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Speechless from the magic of the moment, all I could do was laugh. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ He put a hand on my shoulder. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ "You see?" he said, "It's better to dance than to understand how to dance." ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ His words rang profoundly in my soul. The richest experiences in our lives are the one we FEEL first-hand, rather than try to understand by reading about them or watching as a bystander. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ I could make hypotheses and assumptions about the meaning of their dancing, but it was not until I joined in their moment of communal unity that I truly felt it. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ A lesson learned: only when we allow ourselves to feel, will we really understand. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ And what a joy it is to feel. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ #TheNomadsOasis #CelinnesOasis ______________________________________________ #lovegreece #greekislands #cyclades #aegeansea #greecestagram #ig_greekshots #beautifulgreece #greece🇬🇷 #mediterraneansea #cyclades_islands #greek_islands #caldera #santoriniisland #oia #thira #oiasantorini #travellingthroughtheworld #sheisnotlost #wu_greece #stunning_greece #thegreeceguide #travelislife #worldtravelbook #areyouawake #femmetravel #travelawesome #travelstoke #aroundtheworld

Kikladhes, Greece
These blue and white stucco towns definitely scream Greece. Aside from its beauty, it’s also home to some of Greece’s archaeological ruins.
Oahu, Hawaii
As the heart of Hawaii, Oahu has just about the right mix of a bustling city life and a laid back surf town.
Painted Hills Overlook, Oregon
This easy hike trail is more for the views than the actual hike. Would you look at those technicolor hills? Beautiful!

Palawan
This beauty is finally one I can attest to. Crystal clear waters, soft white sand, and calm serene lagoons are what will greet you when visiting Coron or El Nido.
