Camp Sabros is a one-of-a kind high must-see when one is in Davao del Sur. Located in the highlands of Digos, the camp sits at roughly 4,000 feet above sea level. The air is cool and fresh, even in high noon. At the foot of the camp, local vegetables are sold. One can walk or ride on horseback to get to the camp. Along the way, you’re treated to a stunning view of the surrounding hills and lush brown soil.
For only 25 pesos, you can enter and enjoy all its amenities. Pine trees cover most of the camp. There is a zipline for thrill seekers— it crosses the valley and into the woods. If you’re more inclined to chill, there is a view deck that offers a beautiful vantage point to see the country’s highest peak, Mt. Apo. There is also a cafeteria and game room. The camp also has quaint little cottages for those who want to stay the night.
